The Paloma Resort, a new boutique hotel, restaurant, and bar concept in Cathedral City, announced that it will be interviewing applicants for all open positions at a unique job fair on Monday, July 11 from 10 – 2 and Tuesday, July 12 from 2 – 6.  Applicants are invited to dress for success and bring their resumes as they tour the resort and meet with the resort’s management. While there, they may wish to enjoy complimentary beverages and paella, the signature dish of the hotel’s restaurant Sol y Sombra. The Paloma Resort is located at 67670 Carey Road, Cathedral City, adjacent to the Cree Estate and Trader Joe’s. The hotel is scheduled to open on August 4. 

If candidates are unavailable to do in-person interviews during these times, they may submit their credentials via email to info@thepalomaresort.com and include a cover letter explaining why they would be a great fit for The Paloma Resort or Sol y Sombra and when they would be available to schedule a tour of the property.

Available positions include Guest Service Agents, Part-time Night Auditors, Valet Attendants, Room Attendants, Housekeepers, Laundry Agents, Host/Hostess, Food & Lounge Servers, Bus Help, Kitchen Attendants, Prep Cooks, Master Mixologist, Bartenders, and Bar Backs. One unique role is a Pool Attendant that will pedal around the pool on a tricycle serving Evian-misted lavender towels, frozen champagne grapes, and the resort’s soon-to-be famous Paloma Cocktails. The Paloma Resort’s salaries are competitive with other local hotels and restaurants. Applicants should be able to start within 10 days after being hired.

The Paloma Resort, located just east of Palm Springs, is a boutique hotel with 66 rooms and private bungalows, an inviting open-to-the-public restaurant and lounge, spa services, and event facilities for small to mid-size corporate and social events. Next door is the historic Cree Estate, which is one of the valley’s most coveted venues for weddings and special events accommodating up to several hundred quests.

Located on 2.5 lushly landscaped and date palm-lined acres, The Paloma is ideally suited to families, friends, and even colleagues gathering in one of California’s most beautiful destinations.

The resort features several dining and entertainment options that will be overseen by Chef Chad Gardner, including Sol y Sombra, a Spanish cuisine restaurant, several private dining spaces, and Poco Sombra, a 1930s-era speakeasy complete with private hidden entrance.

All rooms and suites at the Paloma feature a king-size bed, an apartment-sized refrigerator/freezer, wet bar and fully stocked mini bar, touchless electronic locks, state-of-the-art communication devices, Keurig coffee makers, large flat screen TVs, glass-enclosed showers with BABOR amenities, hair dryers, high-end linens, and quiet split-unit HVAC units.
