Looking for things to do on July 4th? Here are a list of options open to the community from multiple cities across the Coachella Valley:

Palm Springs

The City of Palm Springs is offering FREE events on July 4th to the public including:

80’s Nostalgic BBQ, dancing, film, and fireworks viewing at the Palm Springs Cultural Center at 4 p.m.

Concert in the Park featuring “Turn the Page, Tribute to Bob Seger” in Sunrise Park at 5:30 p.m.

Family Pool Party at the Palm Springs Swim Center from 3 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Palm Springs Power Baseball  All Stars Summer Collegiate Game at Palm Springs Stadium at 6 p.m.

All American Fourth of July Spectacular Fireworks Show at Palm Springs Stadium at 9:15 p.m.

Concert and Laser Show at Ruth Hardy Park | Show begins at 9:15 p.m.

Rancho Mirage

Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage will have their 8th Annual Fireworks Spectacular on July 4th starting at 9 p.m. Bring your lawn chair at 7 p.m., relax and enjoy music and giveaways before the show. Parking opens at 3 p.m. if you want to arrive early and secure a spot.

Palm Desert

The City of Palm Desert will mark July 4th with a festive celebration highlighted by a concert and fireworks at Civic Center Park.

The evening’s events officially kick off at 7:30pm at the park’s amphitheater with the singing of the National Anthem. Immediately afterward, the Swing Cats Big Band with the Swing Kittens will entertain the crowd with a lively set of songs including swing-era classics and pop favorites. The Swing Cats are well-known in Southern California for their many appearances at Disneyland as well as past 4th of July performances in Palm Desert. At 9 p.m. the sky will light up with a spectacular 20-minute-long fireworks display synchronized to patriotic-themed songs.

A variety of food trucks and vendors will be on hand with tasty treats and cool beverages. Attendees may also bring picnic dinners, but alcoholic beverages, smoking, and portable barbeques are prohibited. Everyone is encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to enjoy the show, and a flashlight for safely exiting the park.

Civic Center Park is located at 73510 Fred Waring Drive (at the corner of San Pablo Avenue). Parking will be allowed at the park until the lots are full, usually by 5:30 – 6 p.m. Access to the park is from Fred Waring Drive.
