With many restaurants closed during the summer heat in Palm Springs, one premier supper club has announced its reopening just weeks away.

The Purple Room known for its old Hollywood glamour and charm is where the “Rat Pack,” including Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin, and their pals used to perform on and off the state in the 1960s.

In a release to the public the owner of the Purple Room Michael Homes states, on “August 30 the gin will be cold and the jazz will be hot as the Purple Room reopens!” Recognizing that Palm Springs will still be piping hot during this time he goes on to say, “The high heat of summer is upon us, but soon we’ll be reveling in Desert twilight with our new 2022 / 2023 Season!

Tickets for upcoming shows will be announced soon however, traditional show time favorites will be part of the new season including Rose Mallett, Sharon Sills, Darci Daniels, Charles Herrera, and Purple Room owner Michael Holmes.

The nightly menu consists of scrumptious items such as braised short ribs, escargot, classic wedge salads, pork marsala, among other flavorful dishes.

A Happy Hour menu is available Tuesday evenings at the bar if you can grab a seat before it fills up. There, you will enjoy delicious small plates to fill you up.

You can also try decadent dessert cocktails such as the “My Way” which offers a chocolate martini.
