Palm Springs, CA
On Thursday, December 29th, at approximately 2:05 AM, Palm Springs Police Department dispatch began receiving reports of gunshots being fired in the area of N Indian Canyon Drive and Tramview Road. Officers responded to the location to investigate the call. During the investigation, officers located a vehicle occupied by a male and female who were targeted in the shooting. The occupants had been traveling north on Indian Canyon Drive and made a U-Turn to avoid the road closure. While leaving the area, the vehicle was struck with gunfire. The female occupant sustained a minor injury due to the shooting. Officers located additional evidence of the shooting near the intersection. This incident is being investigated as an attempted homicide.
At approximately 4:26 AM, PSPD Dispatch received an additional report of gunshots being heard in the 300 Block of Rosa Parks Road, not too far from the earlier shooting. During the investigation, officers determined a residence and vehicle were struck with gunfire. Officers contacted the occupants of the residence and determined no one had been injured.
