Riverside County, CA

In honor of two Riverside County Sheriff Deputies who tragically lost their lives in the line of duty, Bags & Badges, “a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that hosts charity cornhole tournaments to raise money for first responders and military families in time of financial hardship.” will be holding an honorary cornhole tournament benefit sponsored by the U.S Police & Fire Championships (USPFC) on Sunday, February 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The fundraising event will feature music, vendors, raffles and a cornhole competition to celebrate the lives of the two Riverside County Deputies, Darnell Calhoun and Isaiah Cordero, who were killed in the line of duty. The cornhole tournament will take place at the Rancho Cucamonga Sports Center, located at 8303 Rochester Ave.

On December 29, 2022, Riverside County Sheriff’s motorcycle Deputy Isaiah Cordero, 32, was shot and killed during a traffic stop. Less than a month later, Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy Darnell Calhoun, 30, was fatally shot while answering a domestic violence call in Lake Elsinore. The Riverside community is invited to celebrate their lives and support the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department at the cornhole tournament benefit. All funds raised will go to support the Riverside County Deputy Sheriff Relief Foundation. Entry into the competition is $80 per team and the event is open to the public. Check-in for the tournament begins at 10 a.m. and bags begin flying at 11 a.m
