Abi Carter, 21, originally from Indio has made it to the Top Three of American Idol.
The rising star used her magical voice to entertain visitors of the infamous Palm Springs Village Fest, held every Thursday night at the familiar spot at the intersection of Palm Canyon Drive and Andreas Road.
Her brief encounter with fans in downtown Palm Springs marked the beginning of her “hometown visit” to the Coachella Valley, an event being documented for the finale of “American Idol,” scheduled to air this Sunday. The culmination of her visit will be a parade and a free concert in downtown Indio on Tuesday night.
