Thompson Hotel On The Edge Of Opening. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held Today.

Palm Springs, CA

Residents and visitors of Palm Springs will in the very near future have a new destination open. The last piece of the puzzle is a certificate of occupancy, expected to be issued next week, that all involved at the Thompson Hotel are eagerly awaiting. This comes after the project has stalled throughout the years time and time again.

Today’s ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by many Palm Springs dignitaries with speeches and introductions given by Palm Springs Mayor Jeffrey Bernstein, Mayor Pro Tem Ron deharte, City Councilmembers Grace Garner, Lisa Middleton, City Manager Scott Stiles, Thompson Hotel Management Jeffrey Miller and Kelly Teo, along with Thompson Palm Springs Owner Craig Hall.

All expressed light hearted exuberance that the massive hotel project, spanning two city blocks, is opening to the public after years of complications. It was noted multiple times throughout the event that Palm Springs residents really wanted to see this project done.
