PALM SPRINGS, Calif
B-29 DOC will land in Palm Springs, CA., at the Palm Springs Air Museum as part of the 2025 B-29 DOC History Restored Tour, April 29 through May 4.
B-29 DOC, one of only two remaining airworthy B-29 Superfortresses in the world, is one of 1,644 B-29 bombers built by the Boeing Company in Wichita, KS, during World War II. The tour stop in Palm Springs will include B-29 DOC Flight Experience Rides, along with ground and cockpit tours of the historic warbird.
“The B-29 DOC History Restored Tour represents a unique and one-of-a-kind opportunity to share an incredible piece of U.S. history with aviation and history enthusiasts,” said Josh Wells, B-29 Doc executive director. “Partnering with the world-class Palm Springs Air Museum to align our joint missions of honoring and preserving the legacy of those who served in historic warbirds to preserve freedom allows us to broaden our reach and inspire future generations together.”

The Palm Springs Air Museum exists to honor the veterans who risked their lives to fight for freedom and democracy by educating visitors on the history and importance of aviation and air power. The museum’s collection of historic aircraft includes more than 70 flying and static artifacts housed in five hangars.

This will be the second time B-29 DOC has visited Palm Springs, hosting a tour stop at Palm Springs Air Museum previously in 2022. Tickets for ride flights on B-29 DOC in Palm Springs are now available and can be purchased online at www.b29doc.com/rides. Early booking is highly recommended, as availability is limited. Ground and cockpit tour tickets can be purchased at the Palm Springs Air Museum gate.

B-29 Doc will be hosted by Palm Springs Air Museum, April 29 through May 4. Ground and cockpit tours will be available on DOC April 30, May 1 and May 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday, May 3 and 4, from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission for ground and cockpit tours will be $5 per person with the purchase of Palm Springs Air Museum admission. B-29 Doc Flight Experience rides will be available May 2-4 and tickets can be purchased online at www.b29doc.com/rides.
