Palm Springs Airport Welcomes Local Flavor with TRIO and Vino Volo Openings

Palm Springs, CA

Travelers passing through Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) now have even more reasons to arrive early, with the debut of two exciting new dining destinations: TRIO and Vino Volo.

TRIO, a celebrated culinary staple from Palm Springs’ Uptown Design District, has opened its second location in the airport’s Sonny Bono Concourse. Known for its bold American cuisine, vibrant ambiance, and mid-century modern flair, TRIO offers travelers a signature Palm Springs dining experience without ever leaving the terminal. The new location brings its signature dishes and specialty cocktails into a desert-chic space that lives up to its motto: “Where Palm Springs Eats.”

Joining TRIO is Vino Volo, an award-winning wine bar now serving guests in PSP’s open-air courtyard. A favorite among wine aficionados nationwide, Vino Volo offers curated wine flights, artisan small plates, and a tranquil setting to relax before takeoff. Whether it’s a quick sip or a full tasting experience, Vino Volo invites travelers to slow down and savor the journey.

These additions are part of a broader refresh of PSP’s dining and shopping options. The airport has recently unveiled seven new restaurants, including local mainstays Las Casuelas Terraza, Coachella Valley Coffee, and The Pink Door (located pre-security). Also new are four retail outlets featuring local brands and handcrafted products.

Not flying? No problem. With the Stay & Play Visitor Pass, available for free at flyPSP.com/StayAndPlay, even non-ticketed visitors can enjoy these new amenities.

The changes are part of the airport’s broader Progress PSP initiative—an ambitious modernization campaign aimed at meeting the growing demands of the Coachella Valley region. More upgrades and new features are on the horizon, all designed to enhance the traveler experience.
