Hot Cookie Turns Up the Heat in Palm Springs with Cheeky New Dessert Shop

Palm Springs, CA

San Francisco’s iconic dessert shop Hot Cookie has officially landed in Palm Springs, bringing its bold flavor, saucy attitude, and signature sweets to the heart of downtown. The new location, now open at 155 S. Palm Canyon Drive, is already making waves with its provocative treats and community-first mission.

Famous for its decadent cookies, rich ice cream pairings, and notorious Penis and Vagina Cookies, Hot Cookie brings a playful, unapologetically fun energy to the Coachella Valley. The shop’s cheeky aesthetic, selfie-worthy walls, and indulgent menu are all part of what co-owner and Director of Marketing Ryan Jones describes as the brand’s guiding philosophy: the “Three Cs—Cookies, Customers, and Community.”

“Hot Cookie is more than a dessert shop,” says Jones. “We’re a place where people can be themselves, have fun, and connect—over a cookie, a laugh, or a moment of joy.”

This is Hot Cookie’s first venture outside the Bay Area, following the brand’s acquisition of Palm Springs favorite Jus Chillin’. While the location may have changed, the spirit of the brand remains firmly intact: bold, inclusive, and built for people who crave more than just a sugar rush.

The grand opening celebration is timed to coincide with Palm Springs Pride Weekend, promising giveaways, surprise guests, and a festive atmosphere that reflects the shop’s roots in San Francisco’s LGBTQ+ community.

Founded in 1997 in the Castro District, Hot Cookie has become a cultural institution, known as much for its cheeky branding and cookie couture as for its commitment to celebrating diversity and self-expression.

With its arrival in Palm Springs, Hot Cookie adds a new layer of flavor and flair to the downtown scene. Locals and visitors alike are invited to stop by, strike a pose for the Wall of Hot Customers, and indulge in a little sweet—and sassy—escape.
