The Historic Plaza Theatre in Palm Springs has announced another group of shows as part of its ongoing preview of the 2026-2027 season, adding more concerts, tribute acts, films and family entertainment to its growing calendar.
The theater made the announcement on March 23, saying more performances will still be revealed in the coming weeks as the season rollout continues.
Tickets for the newly announced shows will first be available to Plaza Theatre donors and members during a presale starting Wednesday, March 25. Tickets for the general public go on sale Friday, March 27 at 10 a.m. through palmspringsplazatheatre.com.
Among the newly announced performances are 10,000 Maniacs on Oct. 18, 2026, the John Denver Christmas Concert with Chris Collins and Boulder Canyon on Dec. 8, 2026, Direct From Sweden: The Music of ABBA on Jan. 23, 2027, Sixtiesmania on Jan. 28, 2027, Rumours: The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute Show on Feb. 11, 2027, The Rat Pack is Back on Feb. 12, 2027, and The Sweet Caroline Tour starring Jay White on March 25, 2027.
The Plaza also recently added Movies at The Plaza, a film series that begins in May and continues through the end of the year. The movie lineup includes Star Wars: A New Hope on May 4, 2026, The Wizard of Oz on Aug. 22, 2026, and White Christmas on Dec. 24, 2026. Tickets for the film series are already on sale and start at $20.
The venue also announced a Summer Broadway Series sponsored by Carol Fragen. That lineup includes Titanic The Musical on June 19, 2026, 42nd Street The Musical on June 21, 2026, and Kinky Boots The Musical on Aug. 30, 2026.
A Summer Sing-A-Long Series is also planned, featuring The Sound of Music on May 24, 2026, Grease on July 11, 2026, and Frozen on Aug. 8, 2026.
The latest season preview builds on earlier announcements for the 2026-2027 season. Those shows include bare on Nov. 5, 2026, Christmas with the Drifters, the Platters and Cornell Gunter’s Coasters on Nov. 27, 2026, Meow Meow’s Feline Festive on Dec. 2, 2026, A John Waters Christmas on Dec. 3, 2026, Jane Lynch’s A Swingin’ Little Christmas on Dec. 15 and 16, 2026, STAYIN’ ALIVE: One Night of the Bee Gees on Jan. 30, 2027, Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone on Feb. 6, 2027, Lightwire Theatre Presents: The Adventures of Tortoise and Hare: The Next Generation on Feb. 7, 2027, Top of the World: A Carpenters Tribute on Feb. 27, 2027, Micky Dolenz: 60 Years of the Monkees Tour on March 7, 2027, and Pirates of Penzance in One Act on April 24, 2027.
The Plaza Theatre first opened in 1936 and reopened in December 2025 after a full restoration. The historic venue is operated by Oak View Group in partnership with the Palm Springs Plaza Theatre Foundation and the City of Palm Springs. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is expected to continue serving as a major entertainment and cultural destination in downtown Palm Springs.
For theater members, early access to tickets and preferred seating remain among the benefits as the Plaza continues unveiling more of its upcoming season.
