TEDxRanchoMirage Sets August 2026 Event Date, Opens Speaker Applications to the Public

Rancho Mirage, CA

TEDxRanchoMirage will return for its second year on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the Rancho Mirage Library & Observatory, organizers announced this week. Alongside the event date, organizers have officially opened the public “Call for Speakers,” inviting residents from across the Coachella Valley to apply.

This year’s theme, “Under the Same Sky,” aims to highlight shared experiences, diverse perspectives, and ideas that connect communities across backgrounds and industries.

Organizers emphasized that the speaker application process is open to anyone in the community, regardless of professional experience or public speaking background.

“You don’t need to be a CEO, a published author, or a professional speaker to take the TEDx stage,” said Eric Cunningham, curator of TEDxRanchoMirage. “Our community is overflowing with incredible, unshared ideas and unique perspectives. We are looking for everyday people who have a compelling, fact-based idea that can spark conversation and leave a positive impact on the entire Coachella Valley.”

Applicants are asked to submit a short summary of their idea, explain why they are the right person to present it, and may include an optional video. Organizers say the process is designed to be accessible and inclusive.

Selected speakers will participate in a multi-month preparation program, working closely with TEDx speaker coaches to refine their presentations and build confidence ahead of the August event.

Speaker applications are open now and will close on Thursday, April 30, 2026.

More information about the event and application process is available at the official website, www.tedxranchomirage.com.

TEDx events are independently organized under license from TED and are designed to bring communities together through live talks and recorded TED presentations. While TED provides general guidance, each TEDx event is locally organized to reflect the ideas and voices of its community.
