Palm Springs, CA
Palm Springs residents and visitors can look forward to extended summer evenings in downtown as VillageFest prepares to launch summer hours and a series of special events designed to bring additional family-friendly activities to the city’s popular weekly street fair.
Beginning in June and continuing through September, Palm Springs VillageFest will operate every Thursday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. along Palm Canyon Drive between Baristo Road and Amado Road. The adjusted schedule reflects the seasonal transition while continuing a tradition that has become one of the Coachella Valley’s most recognizable weekly attractions.
VillageFest regularly features nearly 200 vendors offering handcrafted goods, art, food, and specialty items. The event also draws visitors to downtown Palm Springs businesses, with many restaurants, galleries, and retail shops remaining open during the evening festivities.
In addition to shopping and dining opportunities, the Palm Springs Department of Parks & Recreation will present several themed summer events throughout the season at the VillageFest information booth located near Tahquitz Canyon Way and Palm Canyon Drive.
The summer event schedule includes:
• June 18 – Juneteenth Celebration: Programming will include games, crafts, music, and family-focused activities in partnership with the Palm Springs Black History Committee.
• July 2 – July 4th Kick-Off: Visitors can celebrate the Independence Day holiday with games, crafts, activities, and complimentary snow cones while supplies last.
• July 16 – Backyard Fun with Camp Palm Springs: Community games and interactive experiences inspired by Camp Palm Springs will be featured.
• July 23 – Parks & Recreation Month Celebration: Activities highlighting programs that promote healthy lifestyles and community connection will be available.
• August 20 – Back to School Night: Families preparing for the upcoming school year can participate in themed arts and crafts and student-focused activities.
• September 17 – Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration: Cultural performances, themed activities, crafts, and snacks will highlight Hispanic Heritage Month.
