As the Palm Springs Public Library embarks on the journey to renovate and remodel the main library, they are asking to hear from the community. An online community survey launched today to help the Library explore and understand the wants and needs of the community as they begin to investigate all the options for remodeling the main library. The survey will be available until November 2nd go to: https://shorturl.at/emTX2 . Paper copies of the survey will be available at the Library, City Hall, and at other community centers for those who do not have access to a computer.
This work is part of an infrastructure renovation matching-grant awarded to the Library from the State Library that the City accepted. Group 4 Architecture, Research + Planning, Inc. was selected after a thorough RFP process and they will be leading the library through this process. In addition to the online survey, an in-person public forum is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 3:00-5:30 PM at the Library, 300 S. Sunrise Way. Residents and library users can drop in and ask questions and provide feedback and express their ideas and priorities for the Library.
“We want to hear from our users to learn what is important to them,” said Jeannie Kays, Director of Library Services. “We invite the public to share their ideas so that we can move forward with a plan that will benefit our community.”
The Palm Springs Public Library offers a varied and comprehensive collection to the community. The Library is located at 300 S. Sunrise Way, on the corner of Sunrise Way and Baristo Road.
