The Friends of the Palm Springs Library (Friends) will be having their Annual Book & Media Sale on Friday, March 1st, Saturday March 2nd, and Sunday March 3, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. each day inside the JC Frey building, across the parking lot from the main library.
The first day of the sale on FRIDAY is reserved for MEMBERS ONLY, but memberships will be available for sale at the door! Saturday and Sunday are open to the public, but on Sunday you can fill a bag for $5 or a box for $10, that’s a bargain! There are many bargains to be had, the Friends are blowing out their stock and trying to sell as many items as possible, preparing for the upcoming library renovation.
Gently used best-sellers, CDs, DVDs, and many other items available! Cookbooks, coffee table books, special and unique titles; grab those hard-to-find series books, there really will be something for everyone. “People look forward to our annual sale each year,” said Nanci Morrison, President of the Friends of the Palm Springs Library, “it gives us an opportunity to clear out our inventory and offer items at a great prices, so everybody wins!”
The Friends of the Palm Springs Library raise funds for the library through daily and annual book sales, special events, planned giving, annual dues and grants. Their mission is to support the Library in providing world-class service to the community through purchasing needed supplies, furniture, and equipment for the library, and by advocating for funding, gifts, and memorials. The Friends also raise awareness about the library and are the link between the library and the community and its elected officials. The Friends support programs that encourage reading, culture, and the arts as well as volunteer-based activities to support our greater community.
