Palm Springs, CA

The Palm Springs Homeless Navigation Center, operated by Martha’s Village and Kitchen, is set to mark the completion of its second phase with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, September 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will take place at 3589 McCarthy Road and will feature remarks from key local leaders, including Palm Springs Mayor Jeffrey Bernstein, Congressman Ken Calvert, Riverside County Supervisor V. Manuel Perez, and Assemblymember Greg Wallis, among others.

The newly completed phase of the Navigation Center includes 80 prefabricated modular units designed to provide a safe and supportive living environment. The units consist of studio, one, and two-bedroom layouts, all equipped with kitchenettes and bathrooms. Of these units, 65 are designated for individuals experiencing homelessness, 5 for families, and 10 for transitional-aged youth. The facility also boasts amenities such as a children’s play area, dog park, and green space.

In addition to housing, the Center offers a comprehensive range of wraparound services aimed at addressing various challenges faced by residents, including mental health issues, domestic violence, and substance abuse. Key services include health and wellness support, educational and employment resources, meal services, and intensive case management. Residents will also receive assistance in securing health insurance, disability, and Social Security benefits, along with transportation help and 24/7 onsite staff and security.

Following the ribbon-cutting, media members will have the opportunity to tour the facility, with Spanish-language tours available upon request. Earlier this year, the City of Palm Springs opened an adjacent Early Entry Facility, which operates by referral from the Palm Springs Access Center, further enhancing support for those in need.

This significant development reflects the community’s ongoing commitment to addressing homelessness and providing essential services to vulnerable populations in the area.
