The River in Rancho Mirage is getting ready for a day of excitement as they celebrate the Tri-Grand Opening on Friday, November 8, from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM. They are inviting the public to join them for a festive occasion as they welcome three new businesses to the outdoor mall: REI, Cowboy Cantina, and Slinging 360. The free event is offering live music, local vendors, and amazing giveaways.

Event Schedule

The celebrations will include special ribbon-cutting ceremonies for each new business:

  • 4:00 PM – REI CoOp Ribbon Cutting & Ceremony
  • 4:25 PM – Slinging 360 Ribbon Cutting & Ceremony
  • 4:45 PM – Cowboy Cantina Ribbon Cutting & Ceremony

City officials, local chambers, and the community will all be there celebrating these new additions to The River!

REI is set to open a 25,000-square-foot store that will cater to outdoor enthusiasts in the Coachella Valley. With an extensive range of apparel and gear for camping, hiking, biking, and climbing, this store will also feature a full-service bike shop staffed by certified mechanics. Jen Parnell, the Rancho Mirage store manager, shares, “We are thrilled to be opening an REI in beautiful Rancho Mirage. There are so many amazing recreational opportunities here in the valley and nearby Joshua Tree National Park. We look forward to providing gear and expert advice to our members and guests.”

Cowboy Cantina, known for its Santa Fe-style cuisine, world-class BBQ, and legendary margaritas, is making its move to The River. Owner Jim Valdez expresses his excitement, stating, “This move allows us to offer our guests an enhanced dining experience with the same hearty food and spirited atmosphere they’ve come to love, now featuring live music and country dancing.” The stunning new location promises to elevate the beloved restaurant experience even further.

Slinging 360 Rentals is bringing the thrill of Polaris Slingshot rentals to the Coachella Valley. With a commitment to providing unforgettable experiences and excellent customer service, they’re ready to help you make the most of your time in the valley.
