Palm Springs, CA
Travelers looking to escape the Coachella Valley’s summer heat to the Pacific
Northwest now have even more options, as Alaska Airlines transitions its popular Palm Springs
(PSP)–Portland (PDX) route from seasonal to year-round service, continuing through the summer
for the first time ever.
Previously scheduled to end for the season in June, the route will now operate nonstop flights
throughout the year, marking another milestone in PSP’s ongoing expansion of year-round air
service. With this addition, PSP now offers 14 year-round routes on 9 airlines—more than ever
before.
“This is a big win for Palm Springs and the entire Coachella Valley,” said PSP Executive Director Harry
Barrett, Jr. “The demand for year-round connectivity keeps growing, and Alaska’s decision to extend
this route is a testament to that. More full-time options mean greater convenience for travelers and
another step forward in making PSP a truly year-round gateway. With one-stop access from PSP to
more than 300 global destinations, we continue to expand our reach like never before.”
