Palm Springs, CA

This is the “high season” for visitors — and art and event lovers can enjoy a great open air display in Palm Springs.

Frances Stevens Park is the excellent location for a vibrant, original art show and sale, organized by West Coast Artists.

The outdoor show features museum quality art in a wide variety of media.  The art works range from sculptures to photography and encompass works of acrylic, collage, etchings, mixed media, oils, pencil, watercolors and digital.

This is a relaxed environment that encourages people to look at and discuss the works — without sales pressure.  A very pleasant way to spend a Saturday or Sunday — and maybe find that painting or sculpture that fits right in with your home environment.

The sculptures are spectacular and come in a variety of materials, including wood, metal, stone and highly colorful acrylics. The paintings are done in a variety of styles — from abstract to realism — and you can usually watch several of the painters in the process of creation.

These art festivals were started by in 1983 and are presented on a rotating basis through Southern California, Arizona and Nevada.

The next Palm Springs event is on March 8-9 at Frances Steven’s Park.
