The City of Palm Springs Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the installation of new playground equipment at Baristo Park. The event will take place on Thursday, April 10th, at 2:00 p.m. at Baristo Park, located at 296 S. Calle Encilia.
This addition to Baristo Park includes modern playground equipment designed with the local climate in mind. Featuring upgraded materials, the new playground offers additional shade structures, inclusive play features, and components aimed at fostering both musical and fitness development for children of all abilities. These enhancements reflect the City’s commitment to providing accessible, fun, and safe recreational spaces for families in Palm Springs.
Mayor Ron deHarte, members of the City Council, Parks and Recreation Commission Chair John Miraglia, and other City leaders will be present at the ceremony. In addition to the ribbon-cutting, children will be entertained with crafts and activities, and light refreshments will be provided courtesy of the Parks and Recreation Department Staff.
The City of Palm Springs is excited to invite families and community members to join the celebration and explore the new playground, a vibrant and inclusive space that promises to be a hub for fun and fitness in the heart of Palm Springs.
