Palm Springs, CA

San Francisco’s beloved Hot Cookie is about to turn up the heat in Palm Springs, bringing its signature blend of sweet treats and cheeky charm to the desert! The team behind the iconic dessert shop has officially acquired Jus Chillin’, the popular ice cream and frozen yogurt spot, with plans to introduce Hot Cookie’s unique brand of indulgence to the Coachella Valley this fall.

Hot Cookie has been a staple in San Francisco’s famed Castro neighborhood since 1997, known for its freshly-baked, chewy cookies with delightfully racy names, its infamous Penis and Vagina Cookies, and its wall of hot customers proudly posing in signature Hot Cookie underwear.

Since opening a second San Francisco location, the owners have been eager to expand beyond the Bay Area. “Palm Springs has always felt like a second home for many San Franciscans, especially within the LGBTQ+ community. In recent years, so many have made the move to Palm Springs full-time. With its vibrant energy and love for all things sweet, it’s the perfect place for our first Hot Cookie outside the Bay Area,” notes co-owner Ryan Jones.

For now, Jus Chillin’ fans can continue enjoying their favorite frozen treats through the summer while the new owners prepare to introduce Hot Cookie’s unique take on treats. Given the desert heat, expect Hot Cookie’s signature cookies to get a Palm Springs glow up with options for pairing them with rich, creamy ice cream for the ultimate cool-down treat. Hot Cookie is about to make Palm Springs even hotter—and a whole lot sweeter.

A soft opening is scheduled for the fall, with a Grand Opening celebration planned during Palm Springs Pride.

The future home of Hot Cookie: Palm Springs is 155 S. Palm Canyon Dr.
