Palm Springs, CA

The Palm Springs City Council is set to address several important city planning and policy issues during its upcoming meeting on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. Among the top agenda items are the adoption of the City’s 2025-26 Fiscal Year Investment Policy, a comprehensive update to the City’s Emergency Operations Plan, and a review of the latest annual Housing Element Progress Report.

The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall, located at 3200 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way. Residents are encouraged to participate either in person, online via the City’s YouTube channel or official website (palmspringsca.gov), or through Palm Springs Community Television Channel 17.

The proposed fiscal investment policy sets guidelines for how the City manages public funds, prioritizing safety, liquidity, and return on investment. Meanwhile, the updated Emergency Operations Plan is designed to enhance city preparedness and response to natural disasters and other emergencies. The Housing Element Progress Report will provide a snapshot of the city’s efforts to meet state housing requirements and address affordability challenges.
