Palm Springs, CA
One of the desert’s most beloved traditions is back with a summer twist! Starting Thursday, June 5, Palm Springs VillageFest will transition to summer hours, running from 7 to 10 p.m. every Thursday evening along Palm Canyon Drive between Baristo and Amado Roads, continuing through September.
Voted one of the best street fairs in the Coachella Valley, VillageFest transforms downtown Palm Springs into a vibrant, open-air marketplace each week. With over 200 booths, attendees can browse an eclectic mix of handcrafted art, artisan goods, street food, and local specialties—all while soaking in the buzzing community atmosphere.
As an added bonus, downtown shops, galleries, and restaurants stay open late, offering the perfect setting to dine, shop, and stroll beneath the stars.
This summer, the Department of Palm Springs Parks & Recreation is turning up the energy with can’t-miss special events and live entertainment throughout the season:
- June 19 – Juneteenth Kick-off Party
Celebrate the start of Juneteenth weekend in partnership with the Black History Committee. Enjoy backyard games, paint night, line dancing, and more at this lively community celebration. - July 17 – National Parks & Recreation Month
Discover everything your local Parks & Rec department has to offer! Enjoy interactive demos, fun activities, and free snow cones while supplies last. - August 21 – Back-to-School Bash
Get ready for the academic year with an old-fashioned ice cream social, along with crafts and games perfect for the whole family. - September 18 – Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
Close out the summer with a vibrant tribute to Hispanic culture featuring live music, cultural art displays, local history exhibits, and tasty treats.
All special events are centered at the VillageFest information booth, located at Tahquitz Canyon Way and Palm Canyon Drive.
Whether you’re a local or just visiting, VillageFest is your Thursday night must-do all summer long.
