Palm Springs, CA

Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) is charging forward with a major sustainability upgrade. By early 2026, travelers parking at the airport will have access to 80 new Level 2 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, all located in Parking Lot B directly in front of the terminal.

Once complete, the project will make PSP home to one of the largest airport-based charging installations in Southern California—second only to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and San Diego International Airport (SAN).

The initiative represents a $400,000 investment, fully funded through airport-generated revenue. Officials emphasized that no local tax dollars are being used to support the project. The chargers are expected to be operational by early 2026, with funding allocated in the Fiscal Year 2025 budget.
