Palm Springs is gearing up for a season of parades that highlight the city’s traditions, and vibrant community spirit. From honoring veterans to celebrating LGBTQ+ pride and ringing in the holidays with dazzling lights, residents and visitors alike are invited to enjoy these free events along Palm Canyon Drive.
Palm Springs High School Homecoming Parade – October 15
The season kicks off with school spirit as Palm Springs High School hosts its annual Homecoming Parade on Wednesday, October 15, at 3:30 p.m. Marching from Baristo to Alejo Roads, this year’s theme, “Old Hollywood,” will feature the school’s football team, cheer squads, and community floats.
Greater Palm Springs Pride Parade – November 9
One of the city’s most colorful celebrations returns on Sunday, November 9, at 10 a.m. with the 39th Annual Greater Palm Springs Pride Parade. With this year’s theme, “Be Heard,” the parade will travel along Palm Canyon Drive from Tachevah Drive to Amado Road. The event is the grand finale of the four-day Pride Festival running November 6–9. Details are available at pspride.org.
Veterans Day Parade – November 11
On Tuesday, November 11, at 3:30 p.m., Palm Springs will present the 28th Annual Veterans Day Parade. Marching along Palm Canyon Drive from Ramon to Alejo Roads, the event honors those who have served under the theme “Honoring All Who Serve.” Following the parade, a patriotic concert and fireworks display will take place at Palm Canyon and Amado Road. Festival of Lights Parade – December 6
A signature holiday tradition, the 33rd Annual Festival of Lights Parade will brighten downtown on Saturday, December 6, at 5:45 p.m. The spectacle will feature marching bands, illuminated floats—including towering Macy’s-style holiday balloons—and a visit from Santa Claus himself. Black History Parade – February 28
The season concludes with the 39th Annual Black History Parade on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Beginning at 11 a.m. on Palm Canyon Drive, the parade will be followed by the Town Fair at Downtown Park. More information is available at palmspringsblackhistory.org.
