Palm Springs, CA

Palm Springs Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two individuals connected to the suspected theft of two Yorkshire Terriers in the 700 block of San Lorenzo Road.

Missing Yorkies

According to authorities, at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, a Hispanic man in his 30s to 40s was seen picking up two small Yorkshire Terriers, Maggie and Winnie, who had wandered from their home after a door was accidentally left open. The man was described as wearing a black cap, a white shirt with the words “I NEED COFFEE,” black shorts, and white shoes. He was carrying a purple backpack and has tattoos on his right leg—possibly an eagle design—and a sleeve tattoo on his right arm.

Suspect #1

He was accompanied by a white woman in her 30s with brown hair, wearing a leopard-print dress, brown boots, and carrying a black purse. Witnesses reported that the pair left the area quickly after collecting the dogs.

Suspect #2

Both Yorkshire Terriers are microchipped and have an estimated combined value of $5,000. Investigators believe the pair may have left the area on foot or in a nearby vehicle.

Anyone with information regarding the individuals or the whereabouts of Maggie and Winnie is urged to contact Officer Guzman at animal.control@palmspringsca.gov or 760-323-8151, referencing Case #2510P-4762.
