Palm Springs, CA
The Palm Springs Police Department today extended thanks to the community, visitors, and local partners following what it described as one of the safest and most successful PRIDE weekends in recent memory.
With more than 150,000 people attending the multi-day celebration, police reported only three arrests all related to minor alcohol violations. The department attributed this remarkably low number to the cooperation, respect, and positive spirit shown by festivalgoers throughout the weekend.
Chief Andy Mills commended the collaboration between City departments, the PRIDE organization, and the Palm Springs business community, noting that their coordination was essential in ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
“You may not know who they are, but they stand strong and vigilant to protect you and your loved ones,” Chief Mills said, acknowledging the officers and staff who worked through the busy weekend. “I am deeply grateful for them.”
The Palm Springs Police Department’s message of gratitude highlights the city’s ongoing commitment to safety and unity while celebrating diversity, love, and inclusion, which are core values of the annual PRIDE celebration that continues to draw visitors from around the world.
