Palm Springs, CA
The Friends of the Palm Springs Library will usher in the holiday season with their annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Welwood Murray Memorial Library’s Cornelia White Community Room in downtown Palm Springs.
This year’s event will feature more than 75 themed gift baskets available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the Friends’ ongoing efforts to benefit the Palm Springs Public Library. The baskets span a wide range of interests and age groups, including home décor, cooking and baking, wine and cocktails, gardening, toys and games, art and music, and imported Italian gifts. Many also include gift cards to local restaurants and businesses, along with books and specialty items, offering shoppers a one-stop opportunity to find unique gifts—even for those hardest to buy for. Bargain gifts and gently used coffee-table books will also be available.
“This is a fun event we do each year,” said Nanci Morrison, President of the Friends of the Palm Springs Library. “Our board members have fun curating the baskets, and the support from the local business community is tremendous. We couldn’t do this without them.”
The Friends of the Palm Springs Library raise funds through year-round book sales, special events, annual dues, planned giving, and grants. Their mission is to support the Library in offering world-class service to the community by funding supplies, furniture, equipment, and programs. The group also sponsors the Palm Springs Speaks series, designed to raise both financial support and awareness for cultural and educational programming.
