Palm Springs Police arrested a 41-year-old Palmdale man early Tuesday morning in connection with a stabbing reported in the downtown corridor.

According to police, officers were dispatched at approximately 3:55 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, to the 600 block of South Palm Canyon Drive following a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from a laceration to his head.

The victim provided limited details, telling officers he had been attacked by an unknown male who fled the scene northbound in a white pickup truck driven by a male, with a female passenger also inside the vehicle.

Officers later located a white Ford F-150 matching the description and conducted a traffic stop. The male driver was found to have injuries consistent with involvement in an altercation. During the investigation, officers contacted a witness who assisted in identifying the detained driver as the suspect.

The suspect, identified as James Fuller, 41, of Palmdale, was arrested without incident. He was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio on charges of attempted homicide under California Penal Code sections 664/187(a), as well as a parole violation.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to contact the Palm Springs Police Department Investigative Services Division at (760) 323-8121. Those wishing to remain anonymous may contact Crime Stoppers at (760) 341-STOP (7867).
