Palm Springs, CA
Fans of classic rock and soft rock will have a chance to experience a legendary sound this summer as Ambrosia takes the stage at the Palm Springs Plaza Theatre on June 5.
Tickets for the performance will go on sale Friday, March 20 at 10:00 a.m. through the venue’s official website.
Formed in 1970 in the South Bay area of Los Angeles, Ambrosia quickly developed a distinctive musical identity that blended progressive rock with elements of classical, soul, rhythm and blues, and world music influences. The original lineup included Joseph Puerta, Christopher North, David Pack, and Burleigh Drummond, whose collaborative sound helped the group stand out during an era dominated by British progressive rock acts.
Today, the band continues to perform with three of its original members alongside newer additions, including guitarist Doug Jackson, keyboardist Mary Harris, and lead vocalist Kipp Lennon. The current lineup carries forward the group’s legacy while introducing their music to new generations of listeners.

Ambrosia earned widespread recognition during the 1970s and early 1980s, receiving five Grammy nominations and producing several Top 40 hits. Among their most well-known songs are “How Much I Feel” and “Biggest Part of Me,” both of which remain staples on classic rock and soft rock playlists.
Throughout their career, the band has collaborated with a range of notable artists and cultural figures, including Leonard Bernstein, Kurt Vonnegut Jr., Alan Parsons, and Michael McDonald. They have also toured with major acts such as Fleetwood Mac, Heart, and the Doobie Brothers, further cementing their place in rock history.
In addition to their earlier success, Ambrosia has continued to produce new music, including the 2015 single “Hopes and Dreams,” featured in the television series The Sparrows.
The upcoming Palm Springs performance is expected to deliver the polished musicianship and signature harmonies that have defined Ambrosia’s live shows for decades. As the band continues to evolve while honoring its roots, the June 5 concert offers both longtime fans and newcomers an opportunity to experience a group whose music has endured for more than half a century.
