Palm Desert, CA

A new eyewear destination is coming to the Coachella Valley as Warby Parker prepares to open its first local store at The Shops on El Paseo on April 4, 2026.

The nationally recognized brand, known for its stylish and affordable eyewear, continues its expansion across North America with this latest location. The Palm Desert store marks a notable addition to the El Paseo shopping district, often referred to as the “Rodeo Drive of the Desert.”

Designed with Warby Parker’s signature clean and inviting aesthetic, the new retail space will offer a full selection of prescription glasses, sunglasses, contact lenses, and accessories. Prices for eyewear will start at $95. While eye exams will not be available immediately, they are expected to be offered at a later date.

The store will also feature custom artwork created in collaboration with California-based artist Wyatt Hersey, bringing a localized design element to the space. To celebrate opening day, customers who make a purchase will receive a custom postcard as a gift.

Warby Parker emphasizes convenience in its shopping experience, allowing customers to choose between in-store pickup or home delivery. The company is also known for its social impact efforts through its “Buy a Pair, Give a Pair” program, which provides a pair of glasses to someone in need for every pair sold. To date, the program has distributed more than 20 million pairs of glasses worldwide.

As part of its promotions, customers who purchase two or more pairs of prescription frames will receive a 15 percent discount.

The addition of Warby Parker further enhances the growing mix of retail and dining options at The Shops on El Paseo. The center is also preparing to welcome RH, a high-end home furnishings retailer, in the near future.
