Amy’s Purpose Doggie Fashion Show and Dinner

Picture this: the lights dim, an upbeat rendition of “Who Let the Dogs Out” plays and a spotlight focuses on the runway as precious pups dressed to the “canines” begin to strut, followed by some of your favorite local personalities.
On Sunday, October 12, you are invited to experience Amy’s Purpose “Doggie Fashion Show and Dinner” at the Mission Hills Country Club. The unique event is the non-profit organization’s main fundraiser for the year with the focal goal of granting much-needed scholarships for the COD PaCE veterinarian assistant program.
“We look forward to continuing to fill this dire need in the valley for animal care,” said founder and President of Amy’s Purpose DeAnn Lubell. “To date we have been able to grant more than 30 full scholarships, while also educating the community about predator safety.”
In addition to the dog and VIP fashion experience, attendees will be treated to other entertainment, starring the vocals of well-known singer Patricia Welch. Locals’ favorite guitarist Sergio will also be strolling during the evening, and guests can stop by to see numerologist David Groode for an intuitive reading or purchase the wearable art jewelry by Alexis Hunter.
“Amy’s Purpose will also be honoring the lovely philanthropist Phyllis Eisenberg who has proven over and over that she has a heart of gold,” said Lubell. “In addition, we will present this year’s Pet Hero ‘Terry’, an ambassador from Paws & Heart, courtesy of the organization’s founder Richard Waxman.”
