CVRep-THE MINUTES

THE MINUTES is a darkly comic, suspenseful play set during a small-town city council meeting. As the council members debate seemingly mundane local issues, it becomes clear that something troubling has happened in the community—and that the town’s carefully maintained version of its history may not be what it seems. When Councilman Mr. Peel returns after missing several meetings, he begins questioning the decisions being made by his fellow council members, particularly a controversial development project and the disappearance of another member. What initially feels like ordinary political bickering gradually takes on an increasingly sinister and surreal quality.
