Keeping Your Brain Engaged

Keeping Your Brain Engaged | In Recognition of National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month
Wednesday, November 18, 2026 | 5:30 p.m.
Join a conversation about how mentally stimulating activities like jigsaw puzzles may help maintain memory, concentration, and problem-solving skills as we age. We’ll explore activities that engage the mind and offer opportunities for connection and accomplishment, including approaches for people living with cognitive issues.
Panelists include: Jace Flatt, PhD, MPH, UNLV School of Public Health; Eileen Lynch, Parkinson’s Resource Center; and Jeff Leiman, Alzheimer’s Association. Moderated by Rob Wheeler, Executive Director of Mizell Center. Join us for a pre-reception and enjoy an exhibition of puzzles assembled by Mizell Center participants. Add a piece to our community puzzle and connect with fellow guests.
Sponsored by Edward Jones, a national supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association and its mission to advance Alzheimer’s research, care, and support
