Palm Springs, CA
When one door closes, another one opens. That is true for the building that currently houses the Modernism Museum at 370 N. Palm Canyon Drive.
Originally designed and curated by former Palm Springs businesswoman Tracy Turco, the goal of the museum, which briefly opened its doors in October of 2022, was to showcase “the best of the mid-century modernism era from the late 50s to the early 70s,” and “to create a cultural institution inspiring the local community and visitors alike through the exploration and celebration of the history of all things mid-century modern.”

Now, Tracy Turco and her husband Jerry, have moved out of Palm Springs after nearly a decade to Palm Beach, Florida. (They are also selling their main Palm Springs residence, the former Zsa Zsa and Magda Gabor estate.)

The mixed-use commercial building up for sale which houses the Modernism Museum according to realtor Adam Gilbert of The Firm Brokerage, offers 15,000 square feet that includes “two addresses with four existing suites,” and “two retail spaces just over 1000SF each, and a 2,000 SF upstairs 3 Bed / 2Bath recently renovated apartment overlooking Palm Canyon Drive.” The prime location is bound to garner interest from savvy individuals looking to make the space their home.
Gilbert recently also represented the Turco’s in another one of their properties recently, The Cheetah Hotel at 354 E. Stevens Rd, Palm Springs and sold it for $2,200,000.
