A new soul food restaurant named Le Petit Dejeuner, is opening very soon in Cathedral City. The restaurant, already renovated, is located at the former Greek Yiannis Taverna spot at 67778 E. Palm Canyon Drive. Le Petit Dejeuner‘s original location is in Detroit, Michigan and has been open since 2015.

Now they are expanding to the Coachella Valley according to Tina, the owner, who has been in the restaurant industry for close to a decade.

“Le Petit Dejeuner is a family style dining breakfast restaurant. Family Style Dining allows you to order multiple items from the menu and share with everyone at the table. Both small and large parties can taste a little of this or a lot of that. You simply take what you want from the platter and pass it on. “Breakfast” is now the meal that allows families to dine together.”

While the restaurant will be open 7 days a week for breakfast starting at 7am, it will also be open from Thursday to Sunday at 5pm to 9pm for their soul food cafe.

Coachella Valley Menu items include soul food favorites like Chicken & Waffles, Shrimp & Grits, and Ms Triecy’s Rib dishes.

Tina is in the process of going through inspections with Cathedral City but expects the restaurant to be open very soon, possibly as early as this coming weekend.
