Since stepping down from her post as Speaker of the House after a brutal attack on her husband Paul Pelosi, it was unclear what the senior Congresswoman would do.

Pelosi, 83, has had a long and illustrious career as the first woman to hold the powerful Speaker of the House position. Since stepping down, the Congresswoman has been known to keep a lower profile offering up advice as needed to the new leadership.

Ultimately, Nancy Pelosi has decided to run for reelection to help re-elect President Biden.

In her announcement Friday morning, Ms. Pelosi said, “Now more than ever, our city needs us to advance San Francisco values and further our recover. Our country needs America to show the world that our flag is still there, with liberty and justice for all. That is why I am running for reelection − and respectfully ask for your vote.”
