Rancho Mirage, CA

The first Storyliving by Disney community that will be built in Rancho Mirage is underway. Walt Disney himself owned a home in the Coachella Valley and would spend leisurely time with his family here.

Now, Disney who is anticipating a launch of its initial home sales as early as 2024 has announced its first three builders who will be building homes in the community. They are:

Woodbridge Pacific Group

Woodbridge Pacific Group has been building homes for three decades, winning awards on the way, and are based in Orange County, California. In the Coachella Valley, they have completed projects in communities such as Vibe and Miralon, both located in Palm Springs. They are currently completing projects in La Quinta and Palm Desert. In La Quinta, they have built in PGA West and in Palm Desert, they are closer to completing University Park with model homes up for sale.

They perhaps are best known for their Trilogy 55-plus developments. One of their Trilogy developments is located right here in the Coachella Valley in Indio, the Trilogy at the Polo Club with new models still being built and sold.

More About Disney Cotino

Per Disney, “Cotino™ community will welcome homeowners of all ages, offering single-family residences. Some residences will be located on home sites specifically designated for those 55+. And, in the future, condominiums will be available within the community.”

The project is ambitious with plans to offer a variety of amenities. Two notable amenities include the Artisan Club and Cotino Bay and the Beach.

The Artisan Club is a unique event space inspired by the home of the Parr family in the Disney and Pilar film, the Incredibles 2. The club will have a “beachfront” clubhouse, fitness center, pool, pickleball courts, restaurant, and more.

Cotino Bay and the Beach according to Disney “will be the jewel of the Cotino community and will feature the clearest turquoise waters with Crystal Lagoons® technology. It will be enhanced by a promenade with striking views of the oasis and the mountains beyond, while the beach with its inviting white sands offers a variety of activities.”
