The Desert Open Studios [DOS] Tour returns to the Coachella Valley for its fifth annual edition from
January 24-26, 2025. This unique event offers a rare chance for art lovers and curious minds to go
behind the scenes, with 150 artists from Indio to Desert Hot Springs opening their studio doors from 11
am to 4 pm daily.

A Free, Immersive Art Experience
The Desert Open Studios Tour has grown significantly over the past five years, underscoring a rising
demand for local art experiences. This three-day event provides access to intimate spaces rarely seen by
the public, where visitors can view works in progress and purchase directly from artists, supporting the
vibrant creative community of Southern California.

Attendees can explore a variety of artistic styles and mediums, both in small, personal studios and larger creative hubs, allowing them to experience the Coachella Valley’s art culture up close. A complimentary
50-page guide, along with digital and printed maps, offers art enthusiasts the opportunity to create their
own personalized art adventure and navigate the studios at their own pace.

HIGHLIGHTS

The Indio Collective Exhibit: Led by Carlos Ramirez, this exhibit showcases Coachella-based artists known for their diverse, identity-driven works. Ramirez’s art, rich with reclaimed materials and powerful cultural symbolism, reflects on social inequalities within Mexican American communities and celebrates resilience.

DOS Co-Founder Kim Manfredi, MFA: Her recent painting Sillman Green has been acquired by the Palm Springs Art Museum and added to the permanent collection, Manfredi offers profound insights into the region’s art culture.

Artist Clara Nieblas: Her deeply personal works explore themes of class, culture, and womanhood, providing a thought-provoking look at the experiences of contemporary women.
