Palm Springs, CA
The Love Local Palm Springs Bonus Bucks digital gift card program is returning this summer — and it’s heating up local spending power like never before. Beginning July 7, shoppers can purchase digital gift cards worth $100, $200, or $300, and receive a 50% bonus funded by the City of Palm Springs.
That means a $100 purchase becomes $150 in buying power — all redeemable at over 100 participating businesses across the city. The bonus amount will be valid through October 31, 2025, while the original card value will never expire.
Backed by the City’s Office of Economic Development, the initiative aims to stimulate summer spending during the slower season for tourism. “Long-term growth means becoming a true year-round city,” said Wayne Olson, Chief Economic Development Officer. “Encouraging everyone to shop and dine local is one way we can say ‘thank you’ to our favorite local spots.”
Participating businesses range from restaurants, cafes, and bookstores to hotels, spas, and entertainment venues — all based within Palm Springs city limits.
“Our local businesses are the heart of our community, and deserve our support, especially during the slower months,” added Mayor Ron deHarte. “This program is a great way to rally around them, keep dollars in our neighborhoods, and remind everyone that shopping local makes a real difference.”
The program officially launches July 7. Bonus dollars will not be awarded before that date. Consumers can visit LoveLocalPS.com to view the list of participating businesses, purchase digital gift cards, and review full program details.
Local business owners who want to join the program can contact Dean Grubl, Business District Administrator, at Dean.Grubl@palmspringsca.gov.
