Palm Springs, CA (September 2025) – Palm Springs audiences are in for a one-night-only treat as Paul Crane, winner of the 2025 Cabaret Riot competition at Revolution Stage Company (RSC), brings his debut solo cabaret, I’m Still Here, to the RSC stage on Friday, October 17th at 7:00 PM.
This milestone performance is more than just a birthday celebration—Paul turns 65 this year—it’s a heartfelt reflection on a life lived boldly, a career that’s spanned corporate America to professional theater, and the joys and challenges of navigating the world as a short, gay, Jewish man. Through music and storytelling, Paul invites audiences into his journey of resilience, reinvention, and laughter.
His cabaret debut comes after a triumphant turn at June’s Cabaret Riot, where his 30-minute entry, I’m Still Here, Damn It, won him the top prize: the chance to fully produce and perform his own show. That victory set the stage for this evening of stories and songs—crafted entirely by Paul, from concept to staging.
Audiences can expect humor, honesty, and heart, with Crane joined on stage by cabaret favorites Sonia Reavis and Greg Hicks (winner of the inaugural Cabaret Riot). Together, they promise a performance that blends local talent with the timeless magic of cabaret.
“We created Cabaret Riot to raise awareness about this terrific art form, to introduce singers to cabaret, and to connect audiences with new voices,” says Francesca Amari, one of the original producers. “Paul Crane is the perfect example of the program’s success: he has returned to his love of singing and embraced the concept of cabaret fully. He’s going to put on a terrific show.”
A Chicago native and self-proclaimed “refugee from Florida,” Paul now calls Palm Springs home. Local theatergoers will recognize him from productions of The Cake, Mid-Century Moderns, Christmas with the Crawfords, and To Kill A Mockingbird. Nationally, he’s toured in All Shook Up and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. I’m Still Here marks his next chapter—bringing all his experiences, humor, and heart to the cabaret stage.
