The Palm Springs Cultural Center will honor acclaimed actor and comedy icon Catherine O’Hara with Catherine O’Hara: Simply the Best, a four-film tribute series celebrating her influential career in film and television. The series launches March 4—O’Hara’s birthday—and continues on select Wednesdays through April at the Cultural Center’s Historic Camelot Theatre.

Each screening evening begins with a curated presentation of Schitt’s Creek highlights, followed by a feature film showcasing one of O’Hara’s most celebrated performances. The lineup spans mockumentary classics and cult favorites that helped define modern comedy.

Screening Schedule

  • March 4: Best in Show
  • March 18: Beetlejuice

From improvisational ensembles to unforgettable character work, O’Hara has created some of comedy’s most enduring performances. The series offers audiences an opportunity to experience these films on the big screen and reflect on the lasting cultural impact of her work.

“Catherine O’Hara’s performances continue to resonate with audiences across generations,” said Lauren Wolfer, series programmer. “This series invites fans to come together and celebrate the breadth and brilliance of her career in a shared theatrical experience.”
