Palm Springs, CA

Rooster and the Pig, a popular Vietnamese- American Restaurant located off Indian Canyon in Downtown Palm Springs has been suffering through debilitating electrical issues since February 2nd and has had to temporarily close.

The restaurant, open for close to 8 years, serves contemporary Vietnamese cuisine with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The menu features a variety of dishes, including banh mi sandwiches, pho noodle soup, spring rolls, and more. The restaurant has a casual, cozy atmosphere and is known for its friendly service and flavorful dishes. It’s a great spot to enjoy a delicious meal with friends or family, and it has received glowing reviews from both locals and tourists alike.

In their most recent update, they gave a further explanation of the situation, thanking their customers, and offering to share their staff with other restaurants. They wrote:

“We are sad to announce that we are temporarily closed due to an electrical issue with the building that our restaurant occupies. Unfortunately, the electrical issue caused more damage than expected and we don’t have a definitive reopening date.

We’re so thankful to all of you who have shown your support during this time by reaching out to us to check in, offer help or just send kind messages.

With high season approaching, the timing couldn’t have been worse for the business and especially our staff. Some of you have been so kind in offering shifts at your places, or referring them to others. And we are so grateful. Thank you so much for fostering them while we try to get things back in place.

We still have a few more who need work while we figure out what our next step is. If you, or anyone you know have back of the house and / or front of the house shifts available, please DM us.

If anyone is interested in cooking classes or private dinners at your place, Tai can come to you. Shoot us an email for more details at eat@roosterandthepig.com

There is no date yet of when Rooster and the Pig will reopen.
