(Naturepedic’s Organic Mattresses Display at Alt Summit at Saguaro Palm Springs )

Finding the right quality mattress can be a chore. Especially, when you are an expecting parent shopping for a baby crib. This is the genesis of how Naturepedic started two decades ago, when founder Barry A. Cik went shopping for his first grandchild’s crib mattress.

As an environmental engineer, he was troubled to find out most manufacturers used harmful chemicals and materials to make the mattresses such as vinyl/PVC and polyurethane foam. He was not comfortable putting his “grandchild to sleep within a few inches of these chemicals.” In addition, organic mattresses on the market at the time were not waterproof, potentially causing mold and fungus to grow.

It was from there that Naturepedic was born. The business has been expanding with 22 stores and growing since its start. The brand has expanded its organic mattress offerings to all ages including toddlers, kids, and adults. It also consistently is being recognized by the mattress industry and its peers.

In 2022, Real Leaders®️ Eco Innovation Award awarded Naturepedic with a distinction for its Organic, Non-Toxic Bedding for Infants and its work with environmental organizations to advocate for eliminating toxic chemicals from consumer products and the environment. Most recently, the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) honored Naturepedic with the Core Values Best in Class award for supporting safe products and protecting babies and families.

The Alt Summit, held at the colorful Saguaro Palm Springs this week is where I got to meet Arin Schultz, Naturepedic’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Arin was jazzed about having Naturepedic showcase its highly customizable mattresses at the premier conference for thousands of female creative entrepreneurs and influencers.

Arin described some of the features and benefits of Naturepedic’s wide selection of organic mattress models. Naturepedic’s website showcases a comparison chart . He described how the interchangeable layers of the EOS mattresses put you in control, allowing for independent customization of each side of the bed. That means, even if you share a bed with your loved one, each of you can have the comfort you deserve.

During Naturepedic’s 20^th anniversary year-round celebration, the makers of certified organic, non-toxic mattress and bedding products for babies, kids and adults, will be making exciting new product announcements and opening additional organic mattress galleries throughout the year.
