After a devastating electrical issue that forced both Rooster and the Pig and Rio Azul to close since early February, one of the restaurant’s is back open again.

Rooster and the Pig, now in business for 8 years gave a message to its customers saying, “We are excited to announce that we have opened the doors again as of Thursday June 1, 2023. We will be open from Wednesdays – Sundays 5pm-9pm. Come on down and say hello, grab a bite, and chill with us!”

For those who haven’t been to Rooster and the Pig, this highly popular restaurant serves Vietnamese cuisine with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Their menu, which is in the process of being updated, features a variety of tasty dishes including banh mi sandwiches, pho noodle soup, spring rolls, and unique larger dishes to share. The electrical issue took both restaurants by storm in February and at first, the owners of Rio Azul thought the fix would take just 3 weeks. It turned out to be a lot longer. Rooster and the Pig also realized at some point that “the electrical issue caused more damage than expected.” Now after almost four long months of being forced to close, business can begin again.
