The Palm Springs Police Department is investigating an assault that left nine people injured during a Splash House event at the Palm Springs Air Museum early Sunday morning.

At approximately 1:37 a.m. on Aug. 9, officers working the event were alerted to a reported assault. Additional officers responded and secured the area while the incident was investigated.

The preliminary investigation determined that a dispute broke out and escalated, with bottles being thrown into the crowd.

Nine people who were not involved in the initial dispute sustained minor injuries from broken glass, police said. Two were treated at the scene, while seven others were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The incident occurred during an “After Hours” party, part of the poolside music festival’s nighttime programming held at the Palm Springs Air Museum, where the event moves after dark, with attendees dancing among vintage aircraft once the sun goes down. Splash House’s 2026 run is split into two weekends, Aug. 7-9 and Aug. 14-16, with daytime pool parties held at Palm Springs resorts before the festivities shift to the Air Museum at night.
