The Epson Tour Championship will return to Indian Wells this fall, bringing some of professional women’s golf’s top emerging players to the Coachella Valley for the season-ending event.
The City of Indian Wells will serve as presenting sponsor of the championship for the third consecutive year. Tournament week is scheduled for Sept. 28 through Oct. 4, 2026, on the newly redesigned Players Course at Indian Wells Golf Resort.
The championship will determine which players advance to the LPGA Tour for the 2027 season. Following the final round, the top 15 players in the Epson Tour’s season-long Race for the Card standings will earn LPGA Tour membership.
This year’s championship will also feature changes to its format. The field will be limited to the top 80 players in the Race for the Card standings, and the 72-hole tournament will be played without a cut, allowing the entire field to compete through the final round.
The tournament will carry a total purse of $250,000, with $100,000 going to the champion. According to tournament organizers, the winner’s prize is the largest in the Epson Tour’s 46-year history.

Golf fans will also have an opportunity to participate during the tournament’s official Pro-Am on Wednesday of tournament week. Participants will play the Players Course alongside Epson Tour professionals competing for a chance to advance to the LPGA Tour.
Epson Tour General Manager Jody Brothers said Indian Wells has developed into an important setting for the tour’s season finale.

A pathway to the LPGA Tour
The Epson Tour is the official qualifying tour of the LPGA Tour and is entering its 46th competitive season in 2026. Its primary mission is to prepare professional women golfers for careers on the LPGA Tour.
The developmental tour has expanded significantly during the past decade. In 2025, it awarded approximately $5 million across 20 tournaments, compared with 15 tournaments and $1.6 million in prize money a decade earlier. Epson Tour alumni have gone on to win more than 400 LPGA Tour titles, including more than 50 major championships.
The Indian Wells Golf Resort is owned by the City of Indian Wells and managed by Troon. The resort features two championship layouts, the Players Course and Celebrity Course, and has hosted numerous tournaments and events. The resort was also the setting for the 15th season of Golf Channel’s “Big Break” series.
The 2026 Epson Tour Championship begins Sept. 28, with tournament activities continuing through Oct. 4 at Indian Wells Golf Resort.
