Palm Springs, CA

The City of Palm Springs has announced its lineup of free parades for the coming months, including a homecoming parade, the 40th annual Pride Parade, a Veterans Day tribute and the Festival of Lights holiday parade.

The events run from October through February 2027.

Homecoming Parade

The Palm Springs High School Homecoming Parade begins at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14. This year’s theme is “Happiest Homecoming on Earth!” The parade travels along Palm Canyon Drive from Baristo to Alejo roads and features the Palm Springs High School Indians football team.

Pride Parade

The 40th annual Palm Springs Pride Parade is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 8. The milestone anniversary carries the theme “Be Included.” The parade runs along Palm Canyon Drive from Tachevah to Amado roads. The Pride Festival will take place Nov. 6-8. Veterans Day Parade

The 29th annual City of Palm Springs Veterans Day Parade starts at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11. The theme is “Honoring All Who Served.” The route follows Palm Canyon Drive from Ramon to Alejo roads.

A patriotic concert and fireworks finale featuring the 300th Army Reserve Band will follow the parade. NBC Palm Springs will broadcast the parade live.

Festival of Lights Parade

The 34th annual Palm Springs Festival of Lights Parade is set for Saturday, Dec. 5, with a 5:45 p.m. start on Palm Canyon Drive in downtown Palm Springs. This year’s theme is “Desert Dreaming: A Retro Holiday.”

The parade will include twinkling lights, floats, marching bands, giant holiday balloons and Santa Claus. NBC Palm Springs will broadcast it live.

Black History Month Parade and Town Fair

The 40th annual Palm Springs Black History Month Parade and Town Fair is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 27, 2027. The parade begins at 11 a.m. on Palm Canyon Drive in downtown Palm Springs. The Town Fair follows immediately at Downtown Park, across from the Palm Springs Art Museum.

All of the events are free to attend, according to the city.
