PALM SPRINGS, Calif.

Palm Springs High School will hold its annual Homecoming Parade on Wednesday, Oct. 14, along Palm Canyon Drive, with a Disney-inspired theme: “The Happiest Homecoming on Earth!”

The parade begins at 3 p.m. It will travel north on Palm Canyon Drive from Baristo Road to Alejo Road. Organizers are inviting residents to line the route and cheer on students. The procession is expected to feature music, costumes and floats.

This year’s Grand Marshal is Jada McLean, a Palm Springs High School alumna and former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader.

Homecoming festivities continue Friday, Oct. 16, when the Palm Springs High School Indians football team hosts the La Quinta Blackhawks. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Ralph Watt Stadium, 2401 E. Baristo Road.

School organizers are encouraging families to attend and wear school colors throughout the week.
