INDIO, CA

A familiar Highway 111 dining destination is preparing to welcome customers under a new name as Ranch House Bar & Grill has announced a grand opening for Friday, October 23, at 4 p.m.

Located at 80-400 Highway 111 in Indio, the restaurant occupies the former Jackalope Ranch property, bringing a new concept to a location long associated with dining and special events in the eastern Coachella Valley.

The new restaurant combines American comfort food, house-smoked specialties and cocktails in a setting described by its operators as modern rustic. Its launch represents a refresh of the former property rather than the construction of an entirely new restaurant building.

According to an October 19 grand-opening report from Greater Palm Springs Business Insider, the business expects to employ approximately 75 people. That is a projection, not a verified count of filled positions.

A familiar property gets a new identity

The former Jackalope Ranch site was known for its large dining areas, distinctive architecture and outdoor spaces. The new concept seeks to retain the property’s appeal for casual meals and special occasions while introducing a refreshed menu and restaurant identity.

Ranch House Bar & Grill is promoting indoor and outdoor dining, daily happy hour and event spaces suitable for private gatherings.

The menu emphasizes American favorites alongside smoked dishes and cocktails, positioning the restaurant to serve both neighborhood diners and visitors traveling along Highway 111.

Opening as the desert dining season begins

The October opening comes as cooler temperatures bring more residents and seasonal visitors back to outdoor dining throughout the Coachella Valley.

The business has announced its grand-opening celebration for 4 p.m. Friday. That announcement does not establish that the ceremony has already occurred.

Diners planning to visit should confirm current hours, reservations and any opening-day restrictions directly with the restaurant.
